Cinderella
I love the Cinderella story and the Art Nouveau movement; this piece let me geek out over both.

...and the final. On the panels around the fireplace, I included some references to the original Grimm's Cinderella. There's the tree that bestows the dress, the birds who help Cinderella sort lentils from the ashes, and the spirit of the departed mother watching over her girl.

The Illustration Academy
The Illustration Academy was quite an experience: intense, but enriching. I was stretched and challenged, and came away with some nice pieces. Here are my favorites.
This was created as a mock cover for "The Audence" arts annual. It's my nod to the immortal Gibson Girl: still stylish after all these years.
This was painted in response to C.F. Payne's challenge: depict a conversation using pictures only.
Here's my take on Abigail Williams from Arthur Miller's The Crucible. She is one shady lady.
